Our friends over at the PDX Adult Soap Box Derby are running a crowdfund for the 2015 year of races! Check it out!
![]() The storytelling aspect of "kidult" is not our only interest in the topic. We happen to feel compelled to get out and play. We have a large family (5 boys) and large extended family. The family that plays together stays together, amiright? This weekend is a kickball championship game. Neighborhood VS Neighborhood. The stakes are high (winning team brings home prize money to their neighborhood association!). Not only are we pulling together people in our neighborhood but somehow along the way, we have collected players from other neighborhoods. Perhaps these people love the playful energy we all bring (or they want to be on the winning team!). In all seriousness, when our neighborhood association was approached to become a part of this project, we were inspired. Play bringing neighbors together? Of course, this is perfect. But we aren't filming any of this. We are participating purely for the fun of playing. Well, and the Salt&Straw ice-cream social after the final game. We cannot thank all of our supporters enough. You all followed, shared and pitched in to complete production in SF, NY and LA! So excited to begin traveling outside of lovely Portland, Oregon to meet more characters who embody the spirit of childhood revelry!
If you missed out on our Seed&Spark campaign, no worries! You can still follow us there to receive updates and of course, our facebook, Twitter and this website are also packed with info. We have also carried over our incentives here to our store page. There you can purchase advanced copies of the film and browse through some other cool swag we have! Again, thank you so much for your support! We couldn't make this happen with out each and every one of you! We are stoked to have such an amazing start to our Seed&Spark crowdfund! Thank you to all our contributors, followers and helpers!
This is a vid we threw together of the "Making Of" the $50 perk level. Hand drawn t-shirt by director, Jason deParrie-Turner! He is putting that art degree to good use! |
